I expect I will return...one day. I have nothing to share right now. or say. or answer. If you recall, I did mention that
IF YOU PEOPLE PARTICIPATED
and asked me for SPECIFIC things to see or tell you, it would be far more likely to entice a post of some kind. No one is seeking any answers from me about nothin', so i'm off doing other interesting and exciting things.
um, well, okay, that's a bit GREAT BIG HUGE GIGANTIC of a lie!!
I AM HOWEVER slowly getting through my altered book, as I enjoy that very very very much!
pce
no snow here.....
I like that.
Just busy doing a play with the kids I teach, in English. The performance is this Sunday. Extra practice for the junior high school students who are doing a speech in English at the same event. I can't wait for next week when I have time off.
no piles of paper or anything else here either...
(okay, now it was ME who just lied.) I will be getting rid of those piles next week, and lucky for me, my piles are way easier to get rid of than yours. But I am sure your piles are worth WAY more than mine.
I want to see the altered book stuff. really really really.
Are you going to put back the altered book class instructions icon that you used to have on the left hand side of your page? I think there are some people who haven't done the pages that you already made classes for. I am one of those people. I didn't get the last one you did finished. I think. I like the little icon on the left hand side that guides us straight to the explanations. but really, who knows, I might be wrong and be the only one who hasn't done everything so far that you have shown us.
clean, (just had a bath) little me is going to go for a walk now in our 15 degree weather. perfect temperature in my books.

Hi Jwels
I googled our group and found this:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/13468808@N08/2627677081/
Which...happens to be a photo of yours!!!! You should be able to just sign in up in the top right hand corner of the screen. If you can't remember your sign in details you may have to go to where it says are you having trouble accessing your account. try it and see how it goes, hope it works!

g, I log in every single day but have also been quiet as didnt want to burden you with too much, so I have a few questions.
I asked you before but dont think I saw a reply. I have collected loads of wonderful tags that come off clothes and such, leather ones, denim, metal, all sorts. I keep them because I am sure they will come in handy one day and have in fact altered a couple. Do you do such things, do you ever cut a tag off clothing and think...ooooooo I could do something with that. Do you have any examples of where you have used them in your projects?
Have you ever used wallpaper in your projects? I recently made an album all out of wall paper and used lining paper cut up for the pages. Its so much bigger than normal scrapbooking paper and comes in lovely designs...and probably sturdier. Do you see any disadvantages to using it? I have never seen anyone use it in albums before and keep thinking Why? Why no one else doing this? Is there some disadvantage that everyone else in the world knows about that I dont lol
I bought an old atlas 1961, a huge book with almost 400 pages inside, measuring around 12 inches by 10, I dont know what to do with that. Keep thinking I should tear the pages out and use the lovely cover for something or alter it, or what? any ideas.
And rather cheekily, can you make another album for us. I just love looking at the work in progress and the final result. Making albums has become a massive interest for me.
OK, I will stop there for now but now I know you want questions, you may find yourself inundated lol
Have a good weekend x

Together is such a fun place to be....it starts out the same way everyday.....All is well ......All are happy........Us having fun.............FUN..for him her and she........For a short while anyway........nothing lasts for more than 3 minutes....until someone gets mad......when you're a kid! ........................ Perfect journalling for the photos........ It is very special...I love it.
Posted by: JAn | 2013.03.09 at 07:48 PM
Jan, i do NOT remember that at all!!! what did the journalling say? I'm so glad it's still special for you. That means a lot. Have fun skiing!!!! I'm sure it will be absolutely STUNNING up there today. :)
Wendy, KEEP it until I get there so i can see it and touch it. I can think of a million things you could do with the book, but I want something to hit me that I can't think of right now...
Oh and YES, I will be showing you the altered book and there are a few other things I'll be showing you that people wanted to see. i.e. switch plate, the blue "fabric" found in the Christmas kit...

Everyone in the family went skiing for the weekend. They are soooooooo excited with all the new snow. Looking forward to seeing what you came up with for your altered book. Remember the photos that you had us send you from the photo booth? I love the journalling that you did for my photos. Do you remember......?

yay, can't wait to see the altered book!!!!!! (of course, that is assuming you are going to show us)!
I actually do have a question (as I usually do)! I came into possession of a couple of very old books...one, an old street map book of Sydney about 1930's and a book of literature/stories that has a handwritten inscription in the front in ink which dates back to 1876. It also has wonderful black/white illustrations each separated by a bit of tissue type paper bound into the book. The cover is missing which is a shame.
I really have NO IDEA what to do with it....you are THE creative mind ...any suggestions???????????
