It is a business indeed! I am also in the process of renewing mine, and the kids passports too - they expire TODAY. They have changed the rules - seems like they do that ALL the time - I now have to get our applns witnessed by a person holding a NZ passport - and no one else will do. Am struggling to think of anyone here who holds a NZ passport - the passport office advised I would have to send to NZ to get a witness there - but we left when the kids were really young (Finn was not even one), the witness also has to have known us for more than 2 years and cannot be a relative. Hmmmm......an interesting dilema.

So do it soon G - you too Lisa Dawn.

Wouldn't we all like to be doing other stuff with paper!!!

Ou don't need to get a visa before you go. They stamp your passport on arrival and that is all you need. You might be in for a surprise when you get your new passport. Try have raised the cost of a passport considerably this year. I remember the some of te comments how it would make it much more inhibitive for people to travel, especially older people and there was one comment to the effect of "senior citizens don't need travel"

I have to get Willow a new Canadian passport and it will cost me over 200 dollars to do so. (more because we are not in Canada) That will certainly stop us from venturing out of Japan easily.

Have a great trip.

Oh gosh Wendy - that is so nice of you to ask. I've told G I make stuff painfully slow - G said it doesn't matter, so long as you are creating! G suggested doing some album pages with just photos, and some as altered - this works! I thought I would try an altered book like the one she made as a Christmas 'tag', only bigger, and those book pages would be the background for pages with just photos. I reckon i need to suck up all the knowledge I can before end of June.

Where are you planning on catching up with G?

I forgot all about BB!

look forward to seeing you there Jwels
:)

Would love to see your album Karen when it is done!!

Hey g, can feel your excitement in your post...and we have been watching the countdown too, its going sooooo fast.

Looking forward to any more new pics lol

Wendy, cant remember my password and cant seem to get back in through the 'forgotten your password' route either. I think I shall have to rejoin and then come look for you! Will try that over the weekend.

Jwels x

crap - I posted a LONG comment this morning and the internet connection dropped out before it posted. I'll summarise

G - the ticking time is EXCITING!! Hobart - yay! Let me know the dates you decide- my friend Ann is booking to come down too!

Know you have been busy with cases - but looking forward to seeing some pretty posts.

My sister has gone home after her visit - I am so sad - it was fabulous having her here - took my mind off the dreaded birthday. We were tourists - MONA was incredible, we saw healthy tas devils - i didn't know this but they share their food and call other devils to feast when they find a large carcass. We went on a boat cruise and saw the tallest sea cliffs in the world. We went to the forest airwalk and over swinging bridges, and riding segways. My sister loved Salamanca markets! I think there will be lots for the kids to do.

I have loads of photos and happy memories to make into an album - have to do that soon while it is so fresh. I've been scouring the book stores for some book page backgrounds.
